KILLEEN, TX – Amazon had recently boasted about their release of Fire TVâ€s latest update. According to the company, the update seeks to advertise the convenience of using live TV, not to mention the activation of live channels using Alexa.

With this Fire TV latest update, there is an “On Now” section wherein people are allowed to tune into various channels which they have subscribed to using the Amazon Channels. Some of the TV services you may sign in with are Cinemax, Starz, and Showtime.

Apart from the good news, I also confirmed that Amazon will roll out a directory which will show users what channels are live across all their subscriptions. This guide will enable people to keep on watching TV shows while viewing what CBS channels are currently live.

Due to Amazonâ€s excitement regarding their new development, they have shared some simple voice commands people can use such as:

  • “Alexa, go to Showtime.”
  • “Alexa, go to the Channel Guide.”
  • “Alexa, go to Cinemax.”
  • “Alexa, watch HBO.”
  • “Alexa, watch Starz.”
  • “Alexa, tune in to HBO Family.”

Amazon has always been transparent about their desire to be the first establishment to develop an a la carte type of channel service. They have probably received a ton of pushbacks in the past, but 2018 may be their lucky year because many channel companies have started to tag along with their project such as HBO and CBS all access.

Amazon users certainly love the new update, but what they are most thrilled about is subscribing to different channels using only one billing.

Amazon Channels allow premium users to manage their subscribed channels in line with their growing list of TV services. If Amazon has created an update for Fire TV, they also made sure to create one for their app. From now on, people do not need to install multiple apps just to view different contents.
