LOS GATOS, Calif. – Roku device owners can conveniently add the Apple TV app on Roku as of today to their list of services.
Apple TV Plus is set for release next month. But at the moment, Apple is already making sure to extend its reach further by making sure Roku owners can have the convenience of streaming their original programming. Roku has already declared that, as of today, the Apple TV app is going live in a lot of Roku devices.
Owners of a wide range of Roku devices can now add the Apple TV app to their services, free of charge. It will give Roku users direct access to the massive library of TV shows and movie content through the iTunes movie store for the first time.
Roku and Apple TV hook-up will allow a lot of customers to enjoy an even wider range of entertainment, especially with the upcoming release of the Apple TV+, according to Roku’s Senior VP and General Manager of Platform Business, Scott Rosenberg.
The availability of the Apple TV app on Roku will also open the soon to be Apple’s new release, the Apple TV+ service. It is set to launch on the first day of November.
The list of confirmed Roku devices that will be compatible with the Apple TV app includes: Roku TVs (7000X, CoooX, 8000X), Roku Expres (3900X, 3930X), Roku Express+ (3910X, 3931X), Roku Smart Soundbar (9101X), onn Roku Smart Soundbar (9100X), Roku Ultra (4640X, 4660X, 4661X, 4670X), Roku Ultra LT (4662X), Roku HD (3932X), Roku Premiere (3920X, 4620X), Roku Premiere+ (3921X, 4630X), Roku Streaming Stick (3800X), Roku Streaming Stick+ (3810X, 3811X), Roku 2 (4205X, 4210X0, and Roku 3 (4200X, 4230X).
It is also important to note that the Apple TV App on Roku is only available to device owners in the US. It is also available in other regions, including United Kingdom, Panama, Peru, Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia, Canada, Chile, and Argentina.
