Cinedigm have announced that they will be launching an animation network. CONtv Anime, which is a network that is solely dedicated to Japanese Anime. The channel will begin the steam today, and this will be across Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, IOS Android, and Visio. Cinedigm has also announced plans to rebrand Viewster to CONtv. Doing this makes sure the network is broadcasted on Smart TVs, working with big brands such as Phillips, TCL, Vizio, LG, Sharp, Magnavox, Sony, Hisense, and Vestel.
Viewster devices are now added to the mix, which comes Alongside CONtv’s digital footprint. The Anime with CONtv will reach 295 million devices all over the world.
“According to the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation, the global market for Anime exceeds more than $19 billion annually, and as evidenced by the popularity of the genre on top SVOD platforms like Netflix and HBOmax, Anime has gone mainstream,” said Erick Opeka, President of Cinedigm Networks. “Our goal is to provide consumers an amazing, fan-curated channel, 100% for free, deeply embedded into their favorite devices around the globe.
The 24/7 Lineup will include a wide range of types of Anime. This will range from Cyberpunk to Supernatural, to tense dramas and even epic fantasy dramas. You will find these dramas in English, or they will be English dubbed. CONtv will contain shows that you have struggled to find, but they will also host the big shows that everybody loves. Titles such as Bubblegum Crisis, AD Police, and Vampire Princess Miyu come to mind.
