DirecTV Update Their Streaming Profile Interface

DirecTV

Whilst the ongoing dispute with Disney is dominating most headlines, DirecTV are still putting their customers at the forefront and making the necessary changes. They have worked on a smoother viewing experience for subscribers, allowing a customized experience without a satellite dish.

Whilst DirecTV teased the idea of this addition back in June, it wasn’t clear if or when the change would actually go ahead. This will be available to those using DirecTV Stream and DirecTV. Satellite users will not be able to experience this yet.

With this change, customers will be able to fully customize what comes up on their profile, meaning they can navigate and find what they are looking for in quick fashion.

DIRECTV’s SVP for product marketing Devin Merrill said “The growing fragmentation of content across multiple apps and video services means it is increasingly more difficult for customers, especially with multiple at-home users, to find the shows and games they want,”

“DIRECTV’s ‘User Profiles’ declutters the experience by providing users in the same household who stream DIRECTV with a personalized view of the entertainment or sports content they love the most, all in one place, including scores and stats for their favorite teams.”

Subscribers will have the option to make up to five profiles one account, making this great for families who will have different tastes in regards to what they watch. Not only this, but there is a long list of compatible devices to enjoy these features on.

Devices such as  Gemini, Gemini Air, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, iPhones, iPads, Android Mobile and Tablet, Fire Tablet, and Web are ready for you to get streaming right away.

So enjoy DirecTV’s new streaming interface and you’ll see how much time you save when you’re not scrolling through various shows to find what you’re looking for.
