Monumental Sports Bring In Updated App For DC Sports

As MLB heads to the offseason, the NBA and NHL season are weeks away from starting. Washington fans are particularly lucky, as Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards games will be available to watch for free. The Washington Mystics (WNBA) will also be available.

Before these changes, fans could find these games on the Monumental Sports App. Now, all of these games will be available on Monumental Sports+, and it will be right in time for the Mystics game on Thursday!

You will find live games that will not air on ESPN or TNT, which means you will never have to miss a game from your favourite team again.

Some may wonder what is different about this app, as the benefits we have described so far aren’t uncommon between sports apps. However, there is certainly a difference here. The “multiview” feature will allow customers to watch four Washington sports streams at one time, also allowing for the use of six camera angles during Capitals and Wizards games.

Zach Leonsis, executive at Monumental Sports & Entertainment said: “As we move into our second season operating as Monumental Sports Network, our team spent the summer tirelessly working to make our digital and linear experiences the very best in local media,”

“Monumental+ is a best-in-class digital experience across multiple devices that allows fans to stream live games on more devices and in more ways than ever before. We’re creating more original shows and exclusive digital content produced by our award-winning production team, and plan to unlock a wide variety of exclusive benefits and surprises for subscribers.”

In terms of pricing, the price will stay at $19.99 per month, or $199.99 per year. If Monumental Sports Network is a part of your pay-tv subscription, you will not have to pay anything extra for this service.

We will bring updates as this story develops.
