Sling TV Add 13 More Channels To Their Roster

Sling Review

Sling TV is a service that gives customers the maximum. They have a strong lineup of free channels but have now added a further 13 channels to this total.

DISH have been consistently adding channels via Freestream, which you have to pay for separately alongside your Sling TV subscription. Now, Sling TV offer a whopping 430 channels to their customers, and quite frankly, it seems this number is very likely to increase.

The recent changes could be due to the heavy losses Sling TV saw in Q2, with 104,00 Pay TV subscribers being lost in that quarter alone. It was clear that something needed to be changed, and that other streaming services were offering something that Sling were not.

Before Sling started to make the changes needed, they offered less channels than their competition. Despite offering a low starting price of $40 per month for customers, it was not enough to keep subscribers in the long term.

With the addition of such a wide range of channels, we could see subscriptions back on the increase as the year comes to a close, but it certainly won’t be an easy task.
