Furman Team News

What is Furman’s strategy against #2 Clemson? It’s simple. Block one of them. Clay Hendrix, Furman’s coach, has one mission for the offense: block one of them. Well, it’s going to be hard anyway. But nevertheless, it’s still a better strategy than going for all five.

The Furman Paladins will have it tough. They have to prove that they are worth the matchup but the only thing that they are sure of is they can hurt the chances of a good win for #2 Clemson.

Clemson Team News

The “Fearsome Foursome” — the quartlet of Dexter Lawrence, Christian Wilkins, Austin Bryant, and Clelin Ferrell — is going to be the core force in this game. Except Bryant, the other three were among the top 10 players in college football in Sports Illustrated (regardless of playing positions).

Clemson is back in the Death Valley and this time they want blood (not literally). They want to become the first ACC team to win four consecutive titles. Even if we’re talking non-ACC, they will still be the second team only, after Alabama, which has consecutive titles from 2014 to 2017.

With that aim in mind, it’s going to be hard to stop them. Furman is going to be a challenge, yes, but nothing the Clemson boys can’t take on.
