The Northern Kentucky Norse are 26-8 this season and have earned a second appearance in the NCAA tournament in just three seasons. Drew Mcdonald, Horizon League player of the year seems to be pretty confident though and has said that the team has belief in them to cause a big upset. In 2017 Norse put up a good fight against Kentucky but ended up losing 79-70. Mcdonald has been averaging 19.5 PPG , 9.5 RB. There are other players too who have reached double digits like Tyler Shape (14.1), Jalen Tate (14.0) , Dantez Walton (11.1) . They are the 14th seed and know about their opponents top quality. Lets see if they can cause a huge upset in the first round and advance forward.

Texas Tech Red Raiders are 26-6 this season and are the 3rd seed in the tournament. The team are back at it again after losing the match last season which would take them to the final four. The team have got a more than good defense line and have held around 12 opponents to under 55 points which is pretty amazing and they rank fourth nationally is scoring defense ( 59.3) . Both the No.1 team and No.2 can perish to the Red Raiders. Their real gem has been sophomore guard Jarrett Culver who has been scoring 18.5 PPG and has scored 20 or more points in 11 occasions this season. He was named the Big 12 player of the year. They lost to champions Villanova in their last run but they sure believe in themselves to become champions.
