Saint Louis Team News
Saint Louis have had a pretty decent season overall season. The team has won 23 games overall and lost 12. Their Conference run had also been pretty good with the team winning 10 games and losing 8. Their qualification for the NCAA tournament was emphatic. Billikens won the A 10 tournament clinching 4 victories in 4 days. Their coach has called them ‘hard playing, physical, aggressive basketball team’. The will be happy with their season so far but surely they won’t be satisfied if they go out now. Three players have reached double digits for the team, they are senior guards Javon Bess (15.3 PPG) and Tramaine Isabelle Jr(13.8 PPG) , and sophomore guard Jordan Goodwin has 10 PPG and 7.5 RPG. They will be the ones to look out for.
Virginia Tech Team News
Virginia Tech have won 24 games and lost 8 this season. The team has lost two games to Florida State in the last month both in overtime. But they wont worry too much about it because they lost it without talisman Justin Robinson who was out with injury from January 30th. Robinson is averaging 13.7 PPG, 5.2 assists and shooting 41.1 percent from behind the 3 point line. The team will feel relieved to have the senior point guard back on the team. The man himself is excited to play again . Hokies are 17-3 with Justin and 7-5 without him so we can imagine the impact he has on the game. His return surely makes the Hokies a strong underdog. Nickeil Alexander Walker has also been outstanding scoring (16.6 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 4.0 APG, 1.9 SPG) and so has Kerry Blackshear Jr. (14.7 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 2.3 APG). Lets see if they can pull this one off.
