Oklahoma Team News

The Oklahoma Sooners were back in business last time out. After two consecutive losses, the team came back strong to win the first round match of the NCAA tournament 95-72 against the Ole Miss Rebels. This was a huge boost their team for sure. After having 9 off days they look charged and refreshed and ready to have a go at whatever team the face. The team scored 8 times out of the first 9 times they had the ball. The team led 50-33 at half-time and scored  another 45 points in the second half to take their team to the highest points in a single game scored by them.  Rashard Odomes and Christian James both scored 20 points . Krisitian Doolittle scored  19 and 15 rebounds which was a career high for him. This change could not have come at a better time because this is what matters. The main prize. It might all be over when they face the top seed but they’ll sure put up a tough challenge.

Virginia Team News

Cavaliers the number 1 seed avoided a consecutive upset by a number 16 seed when they defeated Gardner Webb 71-56 in the first round of the NCAA men’s basketball championship. The Cavaliers though made it real hard for themselves when they found themselves trailing for the second year in a row. They did not panic though and took the second half 41-20. Their main aim was to keep calm and so they did and led 25-5  after the break. The teams strong defense forced 11 turnovers. De’ Andre Hunter scored 23 points for the Cavaliers. Mamadi Diakite also added 17 points and 9 rebounds. Cavaliers will be very careful when they play a nascently revived team with lots of confidence and nothing to lose. Lets see if the top seed can move further up in the tournament or choke like last time.
