The Mountaineers and Longhorns face the final two games of their respective season with hopes that they can qualify for a bowl game. West Virginia has lost back-to-back games to Oklahoma State, while Texas is coming off its longest losing streak in program history (5) as well as last week’s 36-point setback at Kansas which had not won on the road against another conference opponent since 2008; this makes it imperative for both teams’ coaches looking towards next year play spoiler early if possible before things start heating up again come September 2014.

The defense has been an integral part to WVU’s success this season as they rank second in the Big 12 and 10th nationally with their average of 7 tackles for loss per game. Texas’ offensive line will be tested by a Mountaineer team who has proven themselves to be one of best defensive lines we’ve seen all year long; their ability alone could cause some problems if executed correctly against them during Saturday’s match-up.

Xavier Worthy is one of the most talented receivers in college football. He has 11 touchdown catches this season, which ties him for first place with four other players who have had at least 10 receptions and shared that honor on October 20th against Kansas when he caught 14 passes for 152 yards to go along side three touchdowns– even though his limp made it hard work!
