Monterrey Preview
Monterrey will be playing their first game of the Liga MX new season against Toluca. Taking all three points from this fixture will allow them to end matchday 1 in 7th place (depending on goal difference). Talking form, Monterrey played in the Copa MX where they got all the way to the semi-final in which they won against Juarez on Penalties but unfortunately the season was stopped because of the coronavirus. They have not played any games since March 2020 so we will expect some rustiness from the side.
Toluca Preview
Toluca will also be playing their first game. Looking at their form, before the break we saw them play against Club Tijuana in the Copa MX semi-finals, which they lost with an aggregate score of 3-7 to Tijuana. They will be hoping to come into this game with good form to try get the three points to give them the momentum they need for the season.
