 Iona Team News

Iona Gaels have not really had a good overall season this time. They did’nt look to be an NCAA team for the most of the season. Things changed  when they jumped on to a 10 game winning streak in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Their final game was against Monmouth where they won 81-60 a team coached by King Rice. E.J Crawford has been their best player so far scoring at an average of 17.9 Points Per game and shooting 50.9 % from the field. It is a big opportunity for them to play against a team like North Carolina and Tim Cluess believes that their team have to be just better for 2 hours to get a win. It is very unlikely though.

North Carolina Team News

North Carolina have won 27 games and have only lost 6 this season. They are the regional No.1 seed for a record 17th time and this will be their 50th NCAA appearance.  The Tar Heels only lost by a point to Duke in their last appearance but are confident about this one. They have only lost twice in their last 17 games and boy what a time to lose. Their loss will jolt them back to reality. The team will do everything to avoid consecutive losses and advance further in the tournament. They have the potential to reach the final 2 but can they do it?
